Terrell Suggs Keeps Saying He’ll Be Back This Year

It's been more than a month since Terrell Suggs tore his Achilles' tendon which puts his 2012 season in doubt. But the Baltimore Ravens star linebacker continues to say that he will return to the field at some point in the 2012 season. A little optimistic for an injury that usually includes a recovery time of 9-12 months.

On Thursday, Suggs once again proclaimed he would be back in uniform this year.

“I will be in a Baltimore Ravens uniform in 2012. The only question is when.”

The Ravens reportedly aren’t counting on him to play. He suffered the injury at the end of April and the Ravens season starts in September. We’ll see what the Ravens think about his status for the 2012 season when they need his roster spot. If they continue to hold an open spot for him on the active roster come the regular season, then we’ll know they believe he has a legitimate shot at returning.
