Martellus Bennett Is Not Fat, Reports Martellus Bennett

Giants tight end Martellus Bennett was in the news last week when his tight ends coach Mike Pope revealed that he had gone from 265 pounds to 291 pounds in the offseason. The obvious reaction to a 26-pound weight gain is that he got fat. Really fat.

Bennett wants you to know that’s not the case.

A few weeks ago, SB Nation caught up with Dwayne Bowe, who has yet to sign his franchise tender from the Chiefs, and asked if he was staying in shape. His response was similar to Bennett: "Man, look at me."

Check out SB Nation New York for more quotes from Bennett, including the one about his “Atlas” body.
