It's official in Washington D.C. Robert Griffin III is a Redskin.
Robert Griffin III Signs With Redskins; Highest Draft Pick Signed To Date
Robert Griffin III signed his rookie deal with the Redskins. It’s a four-year deal with a fifth year option.

The No. 2 overall pick in the NFL Draft, who as of last night was unsigned, said on his Twitter page:
Well people....It's Time to go to Work!!!Off the unemployment line and oh yea HTTR!!!!
— Robert Griffin III (@RGIII) July 18, 2012
Several reporters followed up and the Redskins have now confirmed that, indeed, RG3 has been signed. It's a four-year deal with a fifth year option, pretty standard stuff with the league's new rookie wage scale, which has made signing rookies much easier. Last year's No. 2 overall pick, Von Miller, signed a four-year deal worth about $21 million over four years, and RG3's should be only slightly higher than that.
The Redskins reported to training camp earlier this week so RGIII, who participated fully in the offseason program, will join them. The veterans will report next week.
RGIII is the highest draft pick to date that’s signed his deal. The Colts and Andrew Luck, the No. 1 pick, have yet to agree to a deal so Griffin’s deal could spur some movement in Indianapolis.
