Andre Johnson left Sunday's practice with a groin injury during Houston Texans training camp, according to reports. Johnson started as a full participant in the morning session, but pulled up during a one-on-one drill before leaving. Head coach Gary Kubiak said afterwards that he does not believe the injury is serious.
Andre Johnson Injury: Texans Receiver Leaves Practice With Groin Injury
“We don’t think it’s anything significant,” Kubiak said. “Obviously, Andre’s worked so dang hard to get back and get back on the field full speed, so it’s disappointing. But I don’t think we’re staring at anything significant.”
Johnson missed nine games last season due to multiple hamstring injuries, so there’s good reason for concern. He also misses organized team activities in May while recovering from knee surgery. Kubiak was unable to give a timetable for Johnson’s return, saying “we want him out there as soon as possible.”
