PresswireNFL roster cuts are on their way with two series of cuts set for Monday and Friday of next week. Teams are currently at the 90-player roster limit and by Monday, August 27 at 4 p.m. (ET) they will cut down to 75 players. By Friday, August 31 at 9 p.m. (ET) they will cut down to 53 players.
That means over 400 players will be cut by Monday and over 1,100 by next Friday. This isn’t just an opportunity for teams to cut players -- they will be signing players, too. Teams will be looking to see what players are cut from other teams for potential upgrades as well.

Baer-US PRESSWIRE Lots to talk about as we continue on with Week 3, slightly less meaningless than the rest of the preseason.
One of the least surprising parts of the preseason is Michael Vick getting injured -- twice -- in his first two games. Vick has demonstrated over his career that he’s prone to getting banged up now and again. The Eagles know this.

Finley had dealt with a concussion earlier in the preseason, but was fully healthy heading into this week’s preseason action. The tight end announced on his Twitter account that he’s decided to be at home with his family, though, instead of getting preseason snaps.
