Things are looking up for the Indianapolis Colts tight end position. A day after Coby Fleener returned from a concussion, Dwayne Allen was seen out of his walking boot and catching passes at Friday's practice, according to Mike Chappell.
Dwayne Allen injury update: Colts TE out of walking boot
Allen has cast away his walking boot and is expected to be ready for the regular season.

Allen has been battling a foot injury, but it seems the issue is not as serious as initial reports suggested. He is expected to be ready to go for the regular season opener.
Fleener suffered a concussion during last week's preseason game against the Buffalo Bills, and missed practice on Tuesday and Wednesday before returning on Thursday. The good news on the pair of tight ends is huge for the Colts, who expect to run a power-based offense that relies heavily on two-tight end formations in offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton's first year.
Allen is entering his second year out of Clemson. He played in all 16 games for the Colts last season, compiling 45 receptions for 521 yards and three touchdowns.
