Sidney Rice will hit the field for the Seattle Seahawks this week against the Kansas City Chiefs, which will be his first action since being placed on injured reserve last year. He finally practiced during training camp in full yesterday, and he's ready to get into action on the field this preseason.

#Seahawks WR Sidney Rice will play this Friday night in KC.
Rice has not played since November 27 of last season. He was placed on injured reserve soon thereafter and missed the rest of the 2011 season. He caught 32 passes for 484 receiving yards during 2011, but at his peak in 2009 he caught 83 passes for 1,312 yards for the Minnesota Vikings. That season helped earn him the five-year, $41 million contract with the Seahawks.
Kenneth Arthur explains the fantasy implications of Rice returning to the lineup at our SB Nation fantasy hub. Rice being ready to go for a preseason game is an encouraging sign for his long-term development, and he has proven that he’s a number one receiver when he’s healthy. His return could do wonders for the Seahawks offense.
