The Jacksonville Jaguars have released veteran wide receiver Lee Evans and waived/injured wide receiver Taylor Price, according to a release on the team's official website.
Jaguars Release Lee Evans, Waive Taylor Price
Evans was signed to a one-year deal in the offseason, as the Jaguars were looking to make upgrades to a passing offense that ranked dead last in the NFL in 2011, as their wide receiver group was one of the worst in the NFL.
Taylor Price was waived/injured, though his injury was not disclosed. Price did suffer a broken foot in mini-camp and was forced to miss all of OTA practices and the first day of training camp. If Price clears waivers, he will revert to the Jaguars injured reserve list.
The team is expected to add another wide receiver and possibly an offensive lineman to their roster, according to Vito Stellino of The Florida Times-Union.
