Terrell Thomas Injury: Giants Corner Out For The Season
The fifth-year defensive back out of USC has been battling knee problems since he tore his ACL in college, and hasn’t played for the Giants since he tore his ACL again during the 2011 preseason.
Thomas has played in 44 career games for New York, 34 of which have been starts. He has 177 tackles and 11 career interceptions to go along with 38 career passes defensed.

Thomas’ injury, suffered earlier in training camp, is in the same ACL he tore last season, but it isn’t a tear -- just a “scare,” in Thomas’ words -- but he’ll be playing it safe considering his history with the knee. Maybe that means he’ll be available for the season opener, maybe that means he won’t play until close to the playoffs.
