Denver Broncos' running back Ronnie Hillman aggravated his right hamstring at practice on Tuesday. The latest injury means that his preseason debut will probably not happen this week against the Seahawks, according to a report from The Associated Press.
Ronnie Hillman Likely To Miss Broncos 2nd Preseason Game
Hillman pulled his hamstring during the opening days of training camp. That put him on the shelf for 10 days as well as the Broncos' 31-3 win over the Bears in their preseason opener last weekend. He returned to practice over the weekend.
The Broncos used the fourth pick in the third round of the draft on Hillman. Touted as a speedy change-of-pace back, the San Diego State product was being counted on as a second back behind Willis McGahee and an option for Peyton Manning on screen passes and other plays designed to take advantage of his legs. Another setback with an injury will take away valuable reps he needs to learn the offense.
