Ravens’ Bernard Pollard Won’t Be Toning It Down

Bernard Pollard plans to continue landing big hits across the middle.

Baltimore Ravens defensive back Bernard Pollard was recently a guest on Fox Sports Radio and provided it's hosts with a worth-while interview.

Known for his outspoken nature, Pollard discussed a wide array of topics, including the situation surrounding troubled wide receiver Chad Johnson and showing his support for Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, who he believes outplayed New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in the AFC Championship game last postseason.

Most notably, the notoriously hard hitting Pollard talked about his desire to continue landing big hits.

Via SportsRadioInterviews.com:

“For anybody coming across the middle, we’re going to make you pay. The league is trying to turn away from that, they want two-hand touch, but I’m going to put my pads on you.”

This isn’t the first time this offseason that Pollard has discussed the league’s presumed desire to avoid huge collisions and it certainly doesn’t seem like it will be the last.
