New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick recently sat down for a radio interview with the "Big Show" of WEEI in Boston and discussed his displeasure with the density of the Patriots' preseason schedule.
Patriots Preseason Schedule Is ‘Not Ideal’, Bill Belichick Says
The New England Patriots compressed preseason schedule provides challenges for the team and their head coach.

Starting with Monday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles in Foxborough, the team will be forced to play three games over a 10-day span, with the final two games taking place on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Giants, respectively.
Over that time, Belichick will need to make roster decisions and try to install plays, which (as the coach put it) is not an ideal schedule.
With 11 days off between the team's first preseason game against the New Orleans Saints and Monday's game against the Eagles, the extended time off was crucial for the team's development.
“So yeah, the installation, that’s why this is such a big week for us, because it’s a longer week, gives us time to install what we didn’t get in prior to the New Orleans game. And after this then that’s really about it until the long week before Tennessee.”
