How Tim Tebow will be deployed with the New York Jets has been a subject of heavy speculation since he was traded in March. Most agreed that he wouldn't be used just as a backup quarterback, and the Jets confirmed as much when they said the former Heisman winner could be deployed as a personal protector on the punt team. The Jets took things a step further Thursday, showcasing Tebow in a wildcat-type package on goal-line drills during training camp.

While working with the second-team offense, Tebow scored three touchdowns during a four-play sequence. Two of the scores came on the ground, and the third came off a play-action bootleg pass. Tebow was reportedly “live” during running plays, but he was still able to get the better of the defense.
It remains to be seen whether the wildcat will be effective in an actual game. For now, the Jets seem pleased with what they have in Tebow.
