Free agent cornerback Aaron Berry has been suspended for three games by the NFL for violating the league's personal conduct policy, as ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Berry last played with the Detroit Lions, but he was released by the team in July after his latest off-field incident.

Over the summer, Berry has been arrested twice in Pennsylvania, with the second arrest ultimately leading to his release. In June, the 24-year-old was arrested on multiple counts, including suspicion of DUI, and he was taken into custody in July on three different charges of simple assault.
Last season, Berry recorded 31 tackles in 11 games with Detroit. He was expected to be a starter at cornerback for the Lions this season, but now the third-year player is simply looking for a new job. With the suspension in place, Berry won’t be able to return until Week 4 regardless of where he lands at this point.
