Shaun Rogers of the New York Giants may be able to play this season after all, according to head coach Tom Coughlin. After pronouncing last week that the 33-year-old defensive tackle was going to miss the entire 2012 season due to a blood clot in his leg, Coughlin stated on Tuesday afternoon that there is a chance that Rogers could rejoin the team.

Following a second opinion, it was determined that a potential return wasn’t out of the question and that Rogers’ use of a different medication could allow him to resume on-field activities more quickly than was originally anticipated.
In fact, Rogers was seen in the injury area riding a stationary bike on Tuesday.
