Kenny Britt Activated From Titans’ PUP List

The first thing that was keeping Kenny Britt from playing for the Tennessee Titans this season is no longer an issue, as the wide receiver has been removed from the team's physically unable to perform (PUP) list. Now, the fourth-year player must wait to hear from the NFL office about whether he will face a suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

Britt missed the majority of the 2011-12 season after tearing both the anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in his right knee last September, but has been rehabbing towards his return. Now that he’s off the PUP list, as Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports, he’s presumably able to resume activities, according to doctors, and will begin practicing with the team. However, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will likely have something to say about that.

Britt was arrested for driving under the influence in July, marking the eighth run-in with the law during an NFL career that has spanned less than four years. The former first-round draft pick was warned by Goodell about his behavior last year during a visit with the commissioner related to another incident.

A suspension would obviously derail Britt’s hopes of playing, but Titans fans can at least be glad that the receiver is physically ready to play whenever Goodell says he can.
