Newly minted starter Jake Locker will lead the Tennessee Titans against the New Orleans Saints in each team's final preseason game on Thursday night, as the second-year quarterback and his young team looks to build toward his first regular-season start Sept. 9, 2012. Locker won't get the opportunity to match himself against Drew Brees, since Saints interim coach Aaron Kromer has decided to rest his quarterback and several other key starters for the fourth preseason contest.

Locker went 11-of-20 for 134 yards and two touchdowns through the air with no turnovers in a 32-27 win over the Arizona Cardinals last Thursday. Titans coach Mike Munchak says Locker will play most of the first half.

Receiver Kenny Britt is not expected to be available for the Titans. While the team removed him from the PUP list Wednesday, there is a likely suspension coming down from the league for his DUI arrest last month. Darius Reynaud will return punts for Tennessee, since Marc Mariani broke his left leg in last week's game.

Brees has gotten through the preseason uninjured -- he went 17-of-25 for 179 yards and two scores against the Houston Texans last week -- and Darren Sproles is expected to return from a knee injury for the regular-season opener against the Washington Redskins, but neither will play in Nashville on Thursday night. Cornerback Jabari Greer (hernia), linebackers David Hawthorne (knee) and Curtis Lofton (ankle), and receivers Adrian Arrington (knee) and Nick Toon (foot) are all also out of action for the Saints this week.
