The 36-year-old Brooking has played 14 seasons in the NFL including the last three for the Dallas Cowboys. After starting 176 of 192 games during the first 13 years of his career, Brooking shifted into a reserve role last season, starting just three of 16 games.
In Denver, Brooking will likely add depth at middle linebacker. Joe Mays is currently projected as the starting middle linebacker after he started 12 games last season. The Broncos also have reigning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Von Miller and eight-year veteran D.J. Williams.
