No. 3 overall pick Trent Richardson is preparing for his first pro season with the Cleveland Browns, but he may have hit a bit of a road block as the preseason gets underway. A knee injury may sideline Richardson for the rest of this week, including the preseason opener.

Mary Kay Cabot, the Browns beat reporter from the Cleveland Plain Dealer, reported that Richardson sat out of Tuesday's practice due to a sore left knee. It is possible that Richardson may have to miss the Browns' first preseason game against the Detroit Lions on Friday.

Richardson had a sleeve on his left knee following Tuesday’s practice and would not discuss the injury with the media. He had previously had his left knee scoped in February. He will be evaluated by team doctors later on Tuesday.
