Bills Vs. Jets, Week 1: Ryan Fitzpatrick Sees Loss As ‘A Wake Up Call’

Buffalo Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick had a rough start to the 2012 season when he threw three interceptions, which ultimately contributed to the team's disappointing 48-28 loss to the New York Jets.

In an interview with WGR Buffalo on Monday, Fitzpatrick stated that making smart decisions with the football was something he focused on at great lengths this offseason. While he received undesirable results on Sunday, the 29-year-old Harvard University product explained that he is a level-headed individual who likes to learn from his mistakes.

In fact, he views the loss as a wake up call for the team.

Via SportsRadioInterviews.com:

“For me, and I know the guys in the locker room, we are still excited about the year. We are still confident. We just got a lot of work to do. The game of football especially in the NFL is a very humbling game and when you think you have it it tends to humble you. This was a wake up call for us.”

Buffalo will get back to action on Sunday when they host the Kansas City Chiefs (0-1).
