A week after Robert Griffin III stunned the New Orleans Saints in the Superdome in his first NFL game, the odds makers are already getting behind the Washington Redskins.
Week 2 NFL Odds: Redskins Vs. Rams
Robert Griffin III is the early favorite in this matchup of highly drafted young quarterbacks. The Redskins have gone over in six of their last eight games, but in six of the previous eight games against the Rams the score failed to beat the spread.
According to the latest lines from Oddsshark.com, the Redskins are 3-point road favorites over the St. Louis Rams in Week 2, with an over/under of 45.5.
St. Louis was originally in line to draft the Heisman Trophy winner with the No. 2 overall pick, but with former No. 1 overall pick Sam Bradford already in the fold, they decided to accept the Redskins' bounty of draft picks to move back.
Bradford, the 2010 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, took a step back in 2011, but he's gotten off to a good start in 2012. He completed 17 of 25 passes for 198 yards and 1 TD in the Rams' last-second, 27-23 loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 1.
