Aaron Hernandez Injury: Patriots TE Rolls Ankle Vs. Cardinals

New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez went down with an ankle injury in the first quarter of their game against the Arizona Cardinals. Hernandez was seen grabbing the upper part of his right ankle after rolling it during a Julian Edelman screen play.

Hernandez had to be taken off the field with the help of a pair of trainers and is being taken to the locker room for more evaluation. The injury appears to be quite serious since Hernandez was unable to put much weight on his right leg, and he is questionable to return to this game.

This is a blow to the Patriots as Hernandez was one of the top targets in the their offense. He will be replaced in the lineup by Michael Hoomanawanui.
