Eagles Place Jason Kelce On IR, End His Season

Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce has officially been placed on the injured reserve list and will miss the remainder of the regular season, SB Nations Bleeding Green Nation reported. The news comes a day after Kelce learned he completely tore his MCL, an injury he suffered during Sunday's 24-23 victory over the Baltimore Ravens.

Kelce, the Eagles' 2011 sixth-round pick, appeared to be in pain after Ravens' safety Ed Reed landed on his leg during a LeSean McCoy third-quarter run. In his place, the Eagles turned to Dallas Reynolds (6'4, 320 pounds) who served on the team's practice squad the past three seasons.

Steve Vallos (6'3, 312) has been signed by the Eagles to replace Kelce on the roster. Vallos, 28, was a seventh-round draft pick by the Seattle Seahawks in 2007. Vallos spent two seasons in Seattle before being signed by the Cleveland Browns last year. Vallos failed to make the Eagles' initial 53-man roster as he was released at the end of preseason training camp.
