Drew Brees tied Johnny Unitas' record of 47 consecutive games with a touchdown pass as he connected with Marques Colston, albeit in a controversial way.
Drew Brees ties Johnny Unitas’ record
It was a record thought to be unbreakable, but now Drew Brees is on the precipice.

At this point Green Bay Packers fans have had enough of referees defining moments in their games, and this play was no different. Although there was no flag, that sure looks like a push-off by Colston, and judging by their reaction, fans agreed. Many in the stands in Lambeau were wearing shirts referring to the blown call on Monday in the Packers' game against the Seattle Seahawks, and even though the regular officials are back, that doesn't mean they're not going to get booed by fans when a call goes wrong.
The importance of this play, however, is Drew Brees tying history. Unitas' record was seen as being as difficult to break as any, and now next week Brees has the chance to do it, no matter how much the Saints are struggling this season.
