2013 NFL playoff bracket: 49ers advance to second-straight NFC Championship

The San Francisco 49ers advanced to their second-straight appearance in the NFC Championship Game with a strong win over the Green Bay Packers on Saturday.

The San Francisco 49ers don't yet know whether or not they'll get to play another game at Candlestick Park this postseason, but they do know that they've advanced to the NFC Championship Game for the second year in a row.

On Saturday, 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick shattered NFL playoff rushing records, carrying the ball 14 times for 183 yards and two touchdowns. He had 107 yards in the first half alone. The Packers were game opponents through one half, trailing just 24-21 heading into the third, but the 49ers' offense turned up the pace and pulled away.

In the end, the 49ers walked away with a 45-31 victory.

Now they await Sunday's results to determine their fate. The Seattle Seahawks will take on the Atlanta Falcons at 1 p.m. ET, and the winner of that game will take on San Francisco. If the Seahawks win, then the 49ers will get another game at Candlestick Park prior to a potential appearance in the Super Bowl. If Atlanta wins, then the 49ers will travel to Atlanta, as the Falcons are the NFL's No. 1 seed.

You can find an updated bracket at the NFL's official website here. As noted, the Baltimore Ravens were successful in the AFC on Saturday, and will await the winners of Sunday's matchup between the New England Patriots and Houston Texans.
