NFL playoff schedule 2013: 49ers-Falcons then Ravens-Patriots

The Patriots will host the nightcap on Championship Sunday.

The New England Patriots face the Baltimore Ravens at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday evening with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. The Pats beat the Ravens last year in this same game, and hope for a repeat performance as they seek their first Super Bowl title since 2005.

New England will be without one of their top offensive performers, as Rob Gronkowski is out for the rest of the playoffs. Greg Knopping took a look earlier this week at who could get some more playing time with Gronk on the sidelines.

Houston hung around with the Pats last Sunday with the help of some big kickoff returns. Richard Hill broke down the film to find out exactly what went wrong for New England’s kickoff coverage.

As for the Baltimore side of things, the Ravens are playing for their retiring leader at linebacker. Some suspect that this playoff run would tempt Ray Lewis to continue playing, but Baltimore Beatdown says his retirement is about more than football.

To get Pats fans in a football mood, the 49ers and Falcons will face off in the NFC Championship game from the Georgia Dome at 3 p.m. ET.

The Niners are pretty excited about their young quarterback, and his numbers through eight starts are pretty impresssive. Niners Nation looks at what Colin Kaepernick's numbers would look like projected over a full season.

Over at The Falcoholic, the Falcons are likely to play a litte looser after getting a playoff win under their belts.
