I bought this little Moleskine book at the gift shop, because it’s important to write down your thoughts and also I don’t really feel like getting my computer out of the computer bag. It’s bad enough they make you take it out when you have to go through the X-Ray machine. What is WITH airport security, am I right, Moleskine book?

I figured I should jot down my thoughts, since I’ll be here a while. My flight isn’t til 2 p.m. and I got to the airport at 11 p.m. on Sunday night (always get there early!) and it’s just after midnight now. The guy who runs the shop where I bought this book was trying to close his shop but I told him I just wanted this one thing. He was still pretty peeved. Seems like I can’t do anything without making someone upset anymore. [frowny face]

So I had plenty of cold cuts yesterday but I was still pretty bummed that when I got to the airport the Cinnabon was closed. It’s 2013 and we can’t get a 24-hour airport Cinnabon? I don’t even know any more.

It’s about 2 a.m. and I watched a couple of episodes of It’s Always Sunny on my iPad. Those guys are so mean to each other! Kind of reminds me of ... well, of you-know-who and me. Only way meaner. And with a lot more cusses! I have to take a break from all that negativity. I don’t need any more in my life right now. [frowny face] I have such a hard time typing on my dumb iPad. I’m glad I bought you, book. You’re doing a great job.

Well I tried a couple of episodes of Breaking Bad. Oh no, that show is even WORSE! Yikes! People like this? It just made me feel so bad I got a stomach ache. I really need to find something more upbeat. I’ll see what I have in my queue. Hmmm there’s a show called Hoarders which I guess is about collectibles? Sounds fun!

Well I managed to sleep for a few hours and then wandered around at 6 a.m. waiting for places to open. Not really sure what I’m in the mood for so I might just try a little bite from a few different places. Started with a scone from Starbucks! Pretty good!

The breakfast scramble from Jody Maroni’s Sausage Kingdom was sort of heavy on the egg and light on the sausage but overall it was surprisingly bland. Glad I also got chips.

Cinnabon finally opened! Picked up a regular one and also some dippin’ sticks for later.

The Double Croissan’wich from Burger King is better than I remember! I would say it’s highly recommended but you’re a book and can’t eat.

That was a really big breakfast burrito that the diner served. Not sure if it was worth $12 but it was REALLY big.

Well, it’s about an hour until boarding starts. I’m pretty excited! A whole week in New Orleans! Seems like months since I’ve been able to have a real vacation. And at the end of it all: the Super Bowl. Wow. Pretty neat. I can think of something that would make it neater, though. No, not Cinnabon. But oh well. Maybe some other time. I hope.
