The Baltimore Ravens defeated the visiting Indianapolis Colts by the score of 24-9 on Sunday in an emotional game that possessed several storylines, including linebacker Ray Lewis playing in his final home game of his legendary career.
Colts vs. Ravens, 2013 NFL Playoffs: Ravens pass first test, but another awaits
The Baltimore Ravens proved who the better team is on Sunday when the team defeated the Indianapolis Colts, but SB Nation’s Baltimore Beat Down isn’t getting too excited, knowing a tougher test awaits.
Baltimore's offense played a bit sloppy, as usually sure-handed Ray Rice fumbled two balls during key moments of the game, but Lewis and the defense pressured the Colts' rookie quarterback Andrew Luck constantly and forced the highly-touted No. 1 pick into a slew of mistakes.
While Ravens fans can bask in their playoff victory, SB Nation’s Baltimore Ravens blog, Baltimore Beat Down, asks the team to get ready to go back to work because another (and tougher) challenge awaits this weekend.
So, enough of that! Great win boys, celebrate for a day and then get back to work because there is a huge test waiting in the Mile High City that starts with quarterback Peyton Manning and ends with the Broncos defense. Besides, we have a Super Bowl to win so our work is far from over!!!
The Ravens will head to Denver to face MVP candidate Manning and the Denver Broncos, who blew out the Ravens earlier in the year. This time, though, much more is on the line for both teams as whoever loses will see their season come to an end.
