Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano held a press conference on Monday, discussing a myriad of end-of-season topics. The most notable topic, however, was offensive coordinator Bruce Arians. Pagano provided an update on Arians' health, but also talked a little about his future with the organization.
Chuck Pagano: ‘We do not want to lose Bruce Arians’
Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano said that the organization does not want to lose offensive coordinator Bruce Arians.

First: Arians is still in a Baltimore hospital, but is expected back soon after a slew of negative tests. He’ll be released once his blood pressure lowers to its normal level.
Second: the Colts really do not want to lose Arians, who likely wants to move on to become a head coach after his successful role working as the interim coach while Pagano battled with leukemia. Pagano said that the team does not want him to go elsewhere, and joked that they might try to kill his stock by bad-mouthing him on social media.
Still, Pagano did say that he “wants the best” for Arians and that wanting to move on to being a full-time head coach is a by-product of winning. He said that he isn’t surprised that other teams might be interested in Arians, since he “absolutely” has the qualities to be a head coach.
Both the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears have requested permission to interview Arians for their head coaching vacancies.
