The drama surrounding Josh Freeman in Tampa Bay took another turn on Tuesday when Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik told Freeman not to attend the team meeting, according to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.
Josh Freeman told to skip team meeting before talk with Greg Schiano
The Tampa Bay coach wanted to have a private conversation with the quarterback after the events of Monday night.

The reports were later clarified by Dominik, who said Freeman was excused from the meeting because coach Greg Schiano wanted to speak privately with the maligned quarterback after tension between the player and coach hit a new high Monday night. Dominik said Freeman was excused until a meeting later in the day with Schiano after participating in team activities throughout Tuesday.
Glazer initially reported some of his sources think Freeman was asked not to attend the meeting to make other players think he missed the meeting on his own. Freeman reportedly overslept and missed a meeting earlier this season.
The situation between Freeman and the Bucs quickly turned from bad to worse after he was benched in favor of Mike Glennon. Freeman's medical information was leaked on Monday, causing the NFLPA to launch an investigation.
The Bucs are reportedly calling around the league in search of a trade partner, but as long as Freeman remains on the roster, odd things could continue to happen.
