The Lions get their second road win of the year, shutting out the Browns in the second half to finish comfortably in Cleveland.
Joseph Fauria highlights Lions win

Matt SullivanThe Browns, meanwhile, saw a streak of three straight wins come to an end. As Chris Pokorny at Browns blog Dawgs By Nature points out, the Lions seemed to be the beneficiaries of several curious calls by the officials. That said, the Browns made plenty of big mistake of their own to let the Lions storms through them in the second half.
Highlight of the game? Definitely the weiner dog races.

USA TODAY SportsFauria’s 3 TDs pushes Lions past Browns

Matt SullivanThe Lions headed into halftime down three but scored 24 unanswered points in the second half to pull away and improve to 4-2.
Fauria, an undrafted rookie free agent, was as efficient as one could be, catching three touchdowns on three targets. He now has five touchdowns on just seven receptions this season. He grabbed his first on a one-yard catch from Stafford, giving the Lions a 7-0 lead.

Back in July, we heard that Cleveland would be revamping their fan experience with many things, but most importantly, weiner dog races. Yes, daschunds being told to run in a direction and having no idea what’s going on but running anyway and it looks stupid because they’re stupid dogs with silly-shaped bodies that don’t look normal running. (We stand by our statement that the team needed corgi races, but alas, nobody listened.)

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY SportsBrowns go for fourth straight against Lions

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY SportsThe Browns defense has a good matchup against the prolific Lions passing game. If All-Pro receiver Calvin Johnson is injured for the Lions, the job will be that much easier. The Browns will probably harass Stafford a fair amount, hoping to add to the 18 sacks the team has on the season -- good for third in the league.
Stafford will also need a bit more protection against the Browns if the Lions want the win. The Packers hassled and harangued Stafford for much of the night, and they flattened him to the field five times, tying a career high for five sacks. The Lions defense hasn’t been one of the best this year, but the Cleveland rushing game isn’t something they need to be afraid of.
