A surprisingly-competitive Cleveland Browns team travels to Detroit this weekend to take on a Lions squad hoping to maintain its precarious perch atop the NFC North.

With the Hoyer magic over, can Brandon Weeden and the Browns steal one against Detroit? Will Calvin Johnson be around to stop them?

The Browns have faced adversity well so far this season, reeling off three consecutive wins following the Trent Richardson trade and the benching of Brandon Weeden. Now they'll have to face more: Brian Hoyer, the architect of those first two wins, is done for the season after tearing his ACL last Thursday against the Bills. Weeden stepped back in to lead the Browns to victory in that game, but can he do it again against Detroit's high-powered offense?
In all fairness, that offense didn't look very high-powered last week in a 22-9 loss to the Packers. The Lions failed to move the ball consistently without big-play receiver Calvin Johnson, who was a game-time scratch with a knee injury. Johnson's availability against the Browns is unclear, with head coach Jim Schwartz telling us on Monday that the wideout is "improving every day."
