Redskins vs. Cowboys 2013 results: Dallas overcomes injuries, wins 31-16

The Cowboys had a few injury scares but still took care of business against Washington.

The Dallas Cowboys suffered injuries to running back DeMarco Murray and pass rusher DeMarcus Ware but still managed to earn a convincing, 31-16 win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday Night Football in Week 6.

Tony Romo and the rest of the Cowboys' offense were unspectacular, but a strong defensive effort and crucial plays on special teams helped Dallas maintain a comfortable lead throughout the game. In particular, Dwayne Harris' 86-yard punt return for a touchdown swung momentum permanently in the Cowboys' favor.

Rookie running back Joseph Randle replaced Murray and scored a touchdown of his own.

Washington was solid on offense but couldn’t finish drives. The rushing attack seemed to be working for most of the night, as Washington piled up 199 rushing yards to Dallas’ 48. The offensive advantage didn’t help, though

Fantasy studs and duds

Washington running back Alfred Morris made an appearance on Sunday night, rushing for 81 yards and a touchdown. He was the fantasy star of the game. Dez Bryant, meanwhile, only caught five passes for 36 yards, qualifying as the dud of the night.

Injury Report

In addition to Murray and Ware leaving the game with injuries, the Washington Redskins also lost cornerback David Amerson to a concussion.

Did They Cover?

The Cowboys were 4-point favorites, according to OddsShark.com, so they covered the spread.
