Despite suffering a neck injury on Sunday and being carted off the field on a stretcher, Calais Campbell participated in Cardinals practice on Tuesday, according to Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com.
Calais Campbell returns to practice 2 days after being carted off
Just two days after suffering a scary injury, Calais Campbell returned to practice with Arizona.

Campbell was a limited participant in practice, but the fact he practiced at all is a very positive sign after he suffered what appeared to be a serious injury. Campbell laid on the field for several minutes before being carted off and reportedly felt numbness and tingling in his extremities. He was released from the hospital Sunday night and even attended Arizona’s team meeting on Monday morning.
Despite the initial progress, Campbell appeared to be a long shot to play this week against Seattle, especially playing on a short week with the game scheduled for Thursday. Participating in one practice does not mean he’ll return this week, but it puts him on track to play with two more days to go.
Seattle’s Michael Bennett made a similar recovery earlier this season. Bennett was carted off the field in Week 4 against Houston, but returned to practice the next week and played against Indianapolis. Bennett had a full week to practice and his injury was deemed to be a lower back injury and not a neck injury like Campbell.
