Levi Brown trade: Steelers sent OT to Cardinals

Pittsburgh is trying to do something to shake up the team by attempting to acquire Levi Brown.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals are working on a trade to send offensive tackle Levi Brown to Mike Tomlin's squad, according to Jason La Canfora.

Pittsburgh has had a shoddy offensive line for years, and it has not improved this season with Mike Adams hurting the left side of the line with average play and center Maurkice Pouncey out for the season after suffering a torn ACL. The Steelers have allowed 15 sacks thus far in 2013.

Should the trade go through, Brown would immediately step in and start in front of Ben Roethlisberger. Brown has played seven years in the NFL, all with the Cardinals. The 29-year-old North Carolina native played and started in all 16 games in four seasons and in every contest this year. Brown did miss all of 2012 with a torn triceps.

In related news, on Tuesday night, the Baltimore Ravens traded for Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle and former first round pick Eugene Monroe, giving up a pair of late-round draft picks.
