Houston Texans running back Arian Foster left Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a hamstring injury. He has been ruled out for the day.
Arian Foster injury: Texans RB leaves with hamstring injury
Arian Foster went into the locker room early with a hamstring injury and is done for the day.
Foster went into the locker room early in the game after the Texans' opening drive. He was listed on the injury report as probable with a hamstring issue, suggesting that he aggravated the injury. Foster is known for always being banged up and playing through minor injuries, but wasn't able to stay in the game this time. Ben Tate will be the primary running back, with Cierre Wood backing him up.
Foster's loss will be a big blow to a Texans offense struggling to find any rhythm. Houston was hoping to lean on the running game while breaking in Case Keenum, who is making his NFL debut against a tough Chiefs defense. With Foster out, though, the Texans may have to rely on Keenum's arm more than they wanted to.
