49ers vs. Titans 2013 results: San Francisco wins easily on the road
The Niners can’t afford any losses as they try to keep pace in the NFC West, and they took care of business with ease in Tennessee.
Quarterback Colin Kaepernick had an effective game, scoring his first rushing touchdown of the season, while running back Frank Gore scored twice on the ground.
The Titans lost for the third straight game, a tough stretch that also included the Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks. Quarterback Jake Locker returned from injury to have a solid effort, but it was not enough against the 49ers. Tennessee falls to 3-4.
Fantasy Studs and Duds
In his return, Locker was effective, throwing for 326 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Kendall Wright had nine catches for 98 yards and Chris Johnson had only 39 rushing yards but added 71 receiving and a touchdown.
Kaepernick threw for 199 yards and rushed for 68 with a score. Gore had his own two touchdowns but Anquan Boldin and Vernon Davis were both held under 80 yards without scoring.
Injury Report
49ers safety Donte Whitner left with a knee injury and did not return.
Titans safety Michael Griffin suffered a hip flexor.
