The Kansas City Chiefs lead the Houston Texans, 14-10, at the halftime mark in Sunday's Week 7 matchup.
Texans vs. Chiefs score update: Kansas City takes 14-10 lead into halftime
Case Keenum has given the Chiefs a bigger test than expected, but Kansas City still leads, 14-10, at halftime.
The Texans went with Case Keenum as their starter this week over Matt Schaub and T.J. Yates. Keenum has been surprisingly effective so far, completing 8-of-12 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown, hooking up with DeAndre Hopkins on a 27-yard score.
Points have been hard to come by so far. The Chiefs took an early lead on a 1-yard run by Jamaal Charles, but have otherwise struggled to move the ball against Houston's defense. They did manage to take the lead at the end of the first half, when Alex Smith led them on a 15-play, 97-yard drive that ended with a quarterback keeper to give them the lead.
Houston's running game is a major concern. Arian Foster left the game with a hamstring injury and has been ruled out. Ben Tate does have 49 yards on 11 carries.
