Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin is scheduled for an MRI on his shoulder that was injured against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, according to Adam Schefter.
Doug Martin injury: Buccaneers RB scheduled for MRI on shoulder
Tampa Bay will have some test done to see how severe Martin’s injury is.

Schefter also notes that safety Dashon Goldson will have an MRI on his ailing knee.
With the Buccaneers scheduled to play on Thursday night versus the Carolina Panthers, it could be hard for either to get on the field in time for winless Tampa Bay. Without Martin, the Buccaneers would be seriously limited on offense with rookie quarterback Mike Glennon having the reins.
Martin was injured when he landed in the end zone, but the good news is a separated shoulder has already been ruled out. The second-year running back out of Boise State has gained 456 rushing yards on 3.6 yards per carry and caught 12 passes for 66 yards.
Last season, Martin rushed for 1,454 yards, the fifth-highest total in the league.
