AFC West 2013, Week 7: Champ Bailey re-injured his foot

In just his second game of the season, Champ Bailey re-injured his foot and could now miss more time.

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

With Von Miller returning in Week 7, the Denver Broncos were close to finally having their starting defense intact. It appears Denver will have to wait a bit longer with Champ Bailey's status now uncertain after he re-injured his foot. That and more injury news from around the AFC West.

Denver Broncos

The Broncos will once again be without Bailey, who re-injured his foot during Sunday’s game. Playing in just his second game of the season, Bailey suffered the injury during the second quarter and did not return. He underwent an MRI, which did not reveal any additional damage. Broncos head coach John Fox called Bailey “week-to-week,” according to Mike Klis. The Broncos have a bye in Week 9 and Bailey is reportedly unlikely to play this week.

Kansas City Chiefs

At 7-0, the Kansas City Chiefs are the only undefeated team left in the NFL. The Chiefs managed to pick up their seventh win while also avoiding serious injuries. Kansas City got tight end Anthony Fasano back against Houston and he had an immediate impact on the field.

Oakland Raiders

The Raiders were off on a bye week, which should have helped a few key players heal up. Tyvon Branch, Menelik Watson, Darren McFadden and others have been limited by injuries recently. It will be interesting to see who returns to practice on Wednesday when the Raiders file their injury report.

San Diego Chargers

Rookie Keenan Allen has been impressive this season and the wide receiver avoided serious injury on Sunday, despite leaving the game briefly. Allen suffered a shoulder injury, but head coach Mike McCoy said Allen is all right moving forward. Tackle King Dunlap left the game due to a concussion, his second concussion in the last month, according to Michael Gehlken.
