NFC East injuries 2013, Week 7: Nick Foles, David Baas banged up

Philadelphia might be turning back to Michael Vick after its other quarterback sustained a head injury.

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles suffered the biggest injury of any team inside the NFC East during Week 7, when quarterback Nick Foles bounced his head off the turf at Lincoln Financial Field against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

Foles had to leave the game and be replaced by Matt Barkley, who finished out the 17-3 loss. Foles was diagnosed with a concussion and will have to undergo a battery of tests to determine his availability for this weekend. Should Foles not be able to play, it is likely Michael Vick will be the starter.

On Monday, the New York Giants sustained a pair of injuries to center David Baas and defensive lineman Justin Tuck. Baas had to leave the game against the Minnesota Vikings in the first quarter with a left knee ailment. The team suspects it is a torn ligament that could sideline him for the season, but tests are still going on, according to ESPN.

Tuck left briefly with a dislocated finger, but was able to return to action. He is not expected to miss any time going forward, also per ESPN.

The Cowboys did not suffer anything major in their win over the Eagles. DeMarcus Ware and DeMarco Murray are still working their way back onto the field. Ware actually began running on Monday, according to the Dallas Morning News. As for Murray, no update has come out of Dallas on his knee injury.
