Percy Harvin injury: Seahawks to decide on WR’s status Monday

The Seattle Seahawks won’t allow the possibility of Percy Harvin’s return to distract them from the team’s game preparation.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin is drawing closer to making his 2013 debut, but head coach Pete Carroll won't let his team focus on him in their preparation, according to Liz Matthews of ESPN.

Harvin's status will be decided on Monday, before Seattle's game against the St. Louis Rams on Monday Night Football.

The receiver arrived in Seattle before the NFL draft when the Seahawks sent their first-round pick to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for the oft-injured receiver. Shortly after joining his new team, it was revealed he was suffering from a hip injury that would sideline him for an indeterminate amount of time.

Having another weapon for quarterback Russell Wilson is certainly welcome, but the Seahawks find themselves in a good offensive position. The team currently boasts the fifth scoring offense in the NFL, averaging 27.3 points per game en route to a 6-1 record.
