Giants vs. Eagles 2013 results: Eagles lay egg in 15-7 loss to New York

The Philadelphia Eagles struggled on offense for the second straight week.

The Philadelphia Eagles' offense looked unstoppable early in the season, but Chip Kelly's team was shut down for a second straight week Sunday afternoon, losing to the New York Giants, 15-7.

Michael Vick attempted to make his return following a hamstring injury, but wasn't able to play long. He tried to run in the first half, but left the field in pain and did not re-enter the game. There is no update on his status at this time, but it's assumed Vick aggravated the injury that forced him to miss two weeks.

The Eagles' offense stalled with third quarterback Matt Barkley under center, as they finished with 201 yards of total offense, their lowest of the season and first time under Kelly the team posted less than 350 yards. The run game couldn't help turn the tide, as LeSean McCoy was stuffed for most of the day.

Eli Manning and the Giants have struggled this season when the quarterback has been asked to do everything on offense. On Sunday, he was required to do almost nothing, as Manning threw the ball for 246 yards but New York did not register a single offensive touchdown, instead winning on five Josh Brown field goals.

Injury report

Eagles’ quarterback Michael Vick left in the first half and was unable to return.

Victor Cruz took a big hit in the second half and left for the locker room, but was able to return.

Fantasy studs and duds

LeSean McCoy was a fantasy dud, finishing with just 48 yards.

Victor Cruz had a productive day, even though he failed to score a touchdown -- he had 86 yards receiving in the win.

Did they cover?

The Philadelphia Eagles were 5.5-point favorites, according to OddsShark. Their outright loss means they failed to cover.

What’s next?

The New York Giants are on a bye week.
