Bills vs. Saints 2013 final score: Drew Brees leads rout over Buffalo

After a quiet first half, the Saints’ offense woke up and handed the Bills a big defeat, 35-17.

The New Orleans Saints routed the Buffalo Bills, 35-17, and move to 6-1 on the season. The Bills fall to 3-5.

The Bills got a scare early when quarterback Thad Lewis left with an injury after losing a fumble, but he came back into the game. They got another scare when Lewis lost his second fumble to the Saints. Drew Brees cashed in with a touchdown pass to Lance Moore, giving the Saints an early lead.

Lewis came back with a perfect strike to Stevie Johnson to tie the game. The Saints offense was quiet for most of the first half, but woke up late in the second quarter. Brees hooked up with Kenny Stills for a 69-yard touchdown and hit Jimmy Graham later. The Saints went into halftime leading, 21-10.

Graham got his second touchdown of the game to give the Saints a wider lead. New Orleans kept the game out of arm’s reach with another touchdown by Stills, and cruised to an easy victory for the rest of the afternoon.
