Buffalo Bills quarterback Thad Lewis has been playing well in emergency action, but he's taking a big punishment from the New Orleans Saints this week. Towards the end of the second quarter, Lewis has completed 9-of-15 passes for 101 yards and a touchdown, but the Saints have beaten him up.
Thad Lewis taking a beating from Saints defense
The Saints are putting a beating on Bills quarterback Thad Lewis.

Lewis has absorbed three sacks and two quarterback hits already, getting drilled nearly every time. The hits have led to three fumbles and he briefly left the game after Buffalo’s first offensive snap. The Bills trail the Saints, 14-10, at the time of this writing.
Despite the brutal hits, Lewis still has the Bills in this game, even though the Saints offense is starting to wake up. After being shut down for most of the first half, Drew Brees hooked up with Kenny Stills for a monster 69-yard touchdown to take the lead. Buffalo's offensive line will have to do a better job keeping Lewis upright if they want to stay competitive in this game.
