Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Gibson has left the game against the New England Patriots and is doubtful to return, according to Armando Saguero of the Miami Herald.

UPDATE: Gibson’s knee injury is not looking good and could spell the end of his 2013 season.
Per source, the initial diagnosis for Dolphins WR Brandon Gibson is that his knee injury is likely season-ending.

Gibson suffered the injury in the first quarter of Sunday’s game. He was carted off the field after hurting his left knee, though details of the injury are not yet known. He was taken into the locker room wearing a leg immobilizer and riding with an orthopedic surgeon.
Update No. 2: According to Breer, it’s believed Gibson has a torn patella tendon:

He caught a four-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Tannehill to give the Dolphins a 7-0 lead before exiting the game. Coming into Sunday's game, the fifth-year pro had 29 receptions for 322 yards and two touchdowns.
