Lions receiver Calvin Johnson is no stranger to big games, but on Sunday against Dallas he had one of the biggest plays of his career. Quarterback Matthew Stafford connected with Johnson on a short slant to the right side of the field, but Johnson was able to cut through the defense and ended up gaining 87 yards. The two players connected again four plays later for a two-yard touchdown to give Detroit a 7-0 lead.
Lions vs Cowboys: Calvin Johnson with 2nd-longest career catch
The receiver is off to a great start in the first quarter against Dallas, could he be one his way to his fifth career 200-yard game?
With over 10 minutes left in the first half, Johnson has three catches for 97 yards. He has four career games of at least 200 yards, with three of those coming last season when he finished with 1,964 yards. As of now, he has 589 yards this season. If he keeps up his play against the Cowboys, he'll wind up with considerably more by day's end.
