New England Patriots right tackle Sebastian Vollmer suffered a serious leg injury during the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins. There is no official update on his status at this time, but it's safe to say he will not return given the injury's severity.
Sebastian Vollmer injury: Patriots RT leaves in air cast
The New England Patriots will be without one of their starting offensive linemen.

Vollmer was pulling on a run play when Dolphins' defensive tackle Randy Starks rolled up his leg as he attempted to reach the ball carrier. Vollmer was heard screaming in pain as he lay face-down on the ground, before the Patriots' training staff immediately put an air cast on his leg before carting him off the field.
The Patriots' will turn to backup right tackle Marcus Cannon in Vollmer's absence. The third-year offensive lineman has appeared in 30 career games, starting once. New England cant afford to lost protection, as Tom Brady has been pressured often on Sunday while the Miami Dolphins currently hold a 17-3 lead at the half.
