Terrelle Pryor opens up game against Steelers with 93-yard touchdown run

The Raiders are exciting again.

Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor continues to shed any remaining doubt the franchise has concerning his status as long-term starter.

In the first quarter of Oakland's Week 8 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pryor took a quarterback keeper 93 yards for a touchdown, giving the Raiders a 7-0 lead in the game. It's the longest touchdown run by a quarterback in NFL history, just the latest accomplishment in a breakout season for Pryor.

Coming out of the bye week, Pryor and the Raiders look energized early. The run was the longest in Raiders' history, one yard longer than Bo Jackson's 92-yard scamper against the Cincinnati Bengals in 1989, according to ESPN Stats and Info.

With the long touchdown run, Pryor now has just under 400 rushing yards for the season. He’s added a new dimension to a Raiders offense that was lifeless for most of the 2012 season. Fewer and fewer people are doubting the former Ohio State quarterback the more he plays.

At the very least, it’s impossible to deny how entertaining Pryor has been in 2013.
