Peyton Manning is ready for the upcoming bye week in the Denver Broncos schedule, per the Denver Post.
Peyton Manning looks forward to Broncos bye week
The veteran quarterback is looking forward to a week off to rest the body.

Manning said he could use the rest after recently injuring his ankle in a Week 7 game against the Indianapolis Colts. The Broncos quarterback will now have two weeks to get better before hitting the road the play the San Diego Chargers.
Manning did not seem too bothered by the ankle injury given his performance against the Washington Redskins in a 45-21 win. Manning reportedly has two sprained ankles, but he still threw 4 touchdowns.
“Actually, I felt pretty good out there today,” said Manning, who besides the three interceptions, completed 30-of-44 passes for 354 yards and four touchdowns. “I felt like I was moving around, and I was able to move in the pocket a little bit. The bye week is coming at a good time for a lot of people physically, for me as well to get some rest.”
Right tackle Orlando Franklin is another Broncos veteran who is thrilled to not have a game next weekend, giving him a chance to fully recover from a sprained knee and ankle in his left leg sustained two weeks ago. Tight end Julius Thomas and safety Duke Ihenacho also are nursing ankle injuries.
Once the Broncos return from their bye, they face the San Diego Chargers before hosting the Chiefs, traveling to play the New England Patriots and then making a trip to Arrowhead Stadium for another game against Kansas City.
